Pack Announcements 11-20-18

Food for the Thanksgiving Service Project is due tonight by 7pm.

Long Sleeve and Hoodie Shirts – Tonight is the deadline to order these so we can get them in time for the Christmas Parade. Long Sleeve t-shirts are $9, Pull-over Hoodies are $16, and Zip-up Jackets are $18. These are pre-paid only.

Tues, Dec 4th – Den Meetings – 5:30 and 7pm

  • Re-enrollment fees for 2019 due. $40/scout. You can re-enroll and pay through TroopTrack using your Scout Account, Credit Card, or PayPal. We also have paper re-enrollment forms in the office you can use to pay with cash or check.
  • WonderWorks Overnight Adventure RSVP and payments due – Please RSVP on TroopTrack. The Pack is paying for all scouts. Parents / siblings are $35.75 each. All scouts in 2nd grade and above can come without a parent, but we do need to know if you they will need a ride. Contact Barbara for questions or help registering.

Sat, Dec 8th – Christmas Caroling / Pack Christmas Party –We will start with Caroling at KDM Durham Hensley Nursing Home at 4:15, then come to Horse Creek Church of God for our Christmas Party to begin at 5:30. We will have cookie decorating, crafts, cards, food, awards, and SANTA!!!

The Pack will provide Ham, Mashed Potatoes, and Drinks. We ask each family to please bring your favorite Covered Dish Side item AND your favorite Dessert.

We will also be collecting new toys for the Avery Armstrong Toy Drive. When you RSVP, please add a note to include the name, ages, and gender of any siblings you will be bringing who may want to visit Santa.

Tues, Dec 11th – Pinewood Derby Workshop at Reliable Building Services – 4pm-8pm – The awesome owner and workers of Reliable Building invite us each year to a Pinewood Derby Workshop for our Pack. Bring your car and your ideas, and the workers will help you cut out your design and prepare your car for the Derby in February. This is a Drop-in event, come anytime between 4-8pm.

Tues, Oct 30th— Den Meetings – 5:30pm and 7pm – Bear Boy Den and Wolf/Bear/AOL Girl meeting at YMCA
 
Wed, Oct 31st – Trunk or Treat – Greenwood UM Church – 4pm until Dark or we run out of candy! Dress up in your favorite costume, decorate your trunk, and come help give out candy to our community. We ask that you bring enough candy for 200 trunk-or-treaters. If you can’t be here by 4:00 just come when you can. Please sign-up on TroopTrack and the Church Bulletin Board if you are setting up at Trunk.

Tues, Nov 6th – Election Day – Den meetings are optional as decided by your Den. Please check with you Den Leader.

Sat, Nov 10th – Scouting for Food Drop-off – 10am
 
Mon, Nov 12th – Veteran’s Day Dinner – 6-8pm – Please invite any veterans you wish. Sign-up on TroopTrack to help bring the food and serve as we honor them. We will need several scouts to help in the Flag Ceremony and an honor ceremony, as well as adults to help with the food. All scouts will be writing letters to send to a local unit that is currently deployed. We will also be collecting Baked Goods to send with the letters this night.

PACK ANNOUNCEMENTS
September 12, 2017

 Leaders – Check your Den Roster List – If you have any scouts in your den that are not on the Roster given out they need to come to the office and register. Also, remind everyone to turn in Medical Forms and Paperwork, this must be turned in before a scout is dropped off.

Popcorn Sales – Scouts or Parents need to turn in any Popcorn Sales they have weekly at the office to earn a trip to the Treasure Chest and drawing entries.

Class “B” t-shirts and Handbooks are for sale in the office – T-shirts are $7, Handbooks are $13

Taking pre-paid orders for Class “B” Long Sleeve T-Shirts and Hooded Sweatshirts – Orders must be pre-paid, and placed by September 20th. Long Sleeve T’s are $9, Pull-over Hoodies are $16, and Zip-up Hoodies are $18. Orders must be pre-paid and are due by next Tuesday.

Sat, Sept. 16th – 10am – Hike at Panther’s Creek State Park –Meet at Spoone pavilion parking lot past campground. Please RSVP on TroopTrack. See Barbara if you need help logging in. Note: Hiking is a part of a required adventure for each group. This will be a great opportunity to finish that requirement!

Tues, Sept 19th – 7:15pm – Pack Committee Meeting

Sat, Sept. 23rd – Apple Butter Day & Pack Concession Stand Fundraiser. Come out enjoy the day and teach your scouts about how to make kettle made Apple Butter over a fire. The pack will be serving concessions to visitors as a fundraiser, and we need a few volunteers to help us out! Sign up on TroopTrack. There will also be craft vendors set up and live music!

Fri, Sept 29th – Sun, Oct 1st – Akela Cub Campout – Please complete registration form and turn in to office by Sept. 19th…

Tues, Oct 31st -The Pack will be participating in the Church Trunk-or-Treat. Families are needed to set up trunks.

 

 

Caroling & Christmas Party Tonight – 12-6-16

Caroling tonight-5:30 @ Durham Hensley Nursing Home. Please park in the bottom lot if possible.

Christmas Party-6:30pm @ Horse Creek Church of God Family Life Center (900 Old Jonesboro Rd, Chuckey). Bring a covered dish to share.

Also, bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Avery Armstrong Toy Drive Collection.

Santa will be present tonight with goodies, if you have siblings attending please let me know. Reply with their age and boy/girl.

NO SCOUTS TONIGHT (1-26-16)

PACK ANNOUNCEMENTS
January 26, 2016

DUE TO THE COUNTY SCHOOLS BEING OUT TODAY, WE WILL NOT BE HAVING SCOUTS TONIGHT

Pack Meeting next Tuesday, 6:30pm at Afton Church.

Leader’s Banquet – Thursday, February 4th, 6:30pm at Baileyton UM Church. Leaders must pre-register and pre-pay by January 26th.   Please let Barbara know today if you plan to attend.

Scout Sunday – Sunday, February 7th, 11:00am at Afton Church. Our Scouts will be performing a Flag Ceremony, and assisting in the Worship service. We will be serving a Soup / Chili appreciation luncheon to the congregation immediately following the service. Please sign up if you can bring a pot of soup or chili, a dessert or drink, or if your scout would like to sign up for a part in the service.

Blue & Gold Banquet – Saturday, February 27th , 4-8pm at Horse Creek Church of God – We need some parents to assist with planning and putting on this event. Please see Barbara to find out how you can help.

Lost Sea Wild Cave Overnight Trip – Saturday, March 19th – Registration Now Open – No charge for scouts, parents / siblings cost $30 each. You will also need money for dinner on the way down, and breakfast on the way back. Please let us know ASAP if you or your scout will need a ride. It is approx. a 2 hour drive from Greeneville.
